Panel awards millions for Oklahoma turnpike projects • Oklahoma Voice (oklahomavoice.com) — State turnpike officials just approved more than $120 million for projects that will reshape driving in and around Oklahoma City, including major work on the East-West Connector and John Kilpatrick Turnpike. The long-term ACCESS program, funded by earlier toll hikes, aims to improve connections between I-44, I-35, I-40 and the Kickapoo Turnpike through 2030.

Oklahoma City man says porch pirate stole Christmas, $2,500 job (news9.com) — An Oklahoma City security installer says a porch pirate stole cameras he needed for a $2,500 job, a loss that wiped out his planned Christmas for family. 3. ‘One choice shattered our world': Tree of Life ceremony marks lives lost to drunk and impaired driving (news9.com) — Families and law enforcement gathered at Penn Square Mall in northwest Oklahoma City for the annual Tree of Life ceremony, honoring loved ones killed by drunk and impaired drivers. Speakers shared personal loss, highlighted newly strengthened DUI laws, and announced a dedicated felony DUI prosecutor in Oklahoma County as state troopers prepare heightened holiday sobriety enforcement.
   

4. Oklahoma appoints Amy Blackburn as new tourism chief ahead of major upcoming events (okcfox.com) — From Oklahoma City, Gov. Kevin Stitt has named Amy Blackburn the new director of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, with current director Sterling Zearley staying on briefly to ease the transition. Blackburn, a former Commerce Department marketing leader, will guide tourism strategy as Oklahoma prepares for the Route 66 Centennial, America’s 250th birthday, and other major global events.
   

5. Oklahoma Lottery Mega Millions, Pick 3 results for Dec. 9, 2025 (oklahoman.com) — Oklahoma lottery players can now check the Dec. 9 Mega Millions, Pick 3, Lucky for Life, and Cash 5 winning numbers, and Oklahoma City residents are reminded how to claim prizes by mail. Signed winning tickets and claim forms must be mailed to the lottery’s Oklahoma City P.O. box, with optional direct deposit details included for faster payment.
