Town Of Foster: Farmers Market Coupons For Seniors Now Available!

The RI DEM, Division of Agriculture has issued Farmers Market coupons to Foster DSS to distribute to qualified seniors. The recipients receive a coupon book with three coupons for $5.00 each.  These coupons can be used at any of the Farmers Markets listed in the brochure that they will receive with their coupons.  Unused coupons will expire on October 31, 2021.

To qualify, you must be 60 years or older, be a RI resident and meet income criteria.  A single person can earn up to $23,828 per year. Two member households have an income limit of $32,227. You need to bring a photo ID with you to receive the coupons. 

If you want someone to pick up the coupons for you, you must sign a proxy form giving permission for that person to sign and receive the coupons on your behalf. You can call the Foster DSS office at 392-9208 to have the form mailed to you beforehand. 

Foster residents can pick up coupon books at the Department of Social Services, lower level in the Foster Town Hall (Monday – Wednesday 8:30 AM – 3 PM). Please call the DSS office at 392-9208 if you have questions
