Narragansett Man Charged In High-Speed Richmond Crash
Police say Zachary Natalizia, 24, was driving 101 mph and passing other cars when he caused a serious crash on Kingstown Road.

RICHMOND, RI — A Narragansett man faces charges in connection with a high-speed crash in Richmond.
Zachary Natalizia, 24, of 500 Old Boston Neck Rd., on Friday turned himself in to Richmond police in connection with a Sunday morning crash in the 500 block of Richmond Road.
An accident reconstruction team found that Natalizia was traveling 101 mph in a 35 mph zone and trying to overtake other vehicles in a no-passing zone when he caused a crash, Police Chief Elwood M. Johnson, Jr. said in a news release. The crash happened shortly before 6 a.m. on June 13.

Natalizia was booked on a charge of driving to endanger resulting in physical injury and told to show up in court Sept. 23 for a felony screening.

ABC6 previously reported that a two-car crash on that date resulted in two injuries, with one party flown to Rhode Island hospital with serious injuries, and another transported by ambulance with minor injuries. Police at the time said a phone pole was also struck during the crash.
