Richmond Cops: W. Greenwich Teen Sold THC Vape Pens To Child

Michael Hazelwood, 18, allegedly took orders over SnapChat and made deliveries. Police say he sold THC vaping cartridges to a 13-year-old.

RICHMOND — A West Greenwich teen faces charges after Richmond Police say they found 33 THC vapor cartridges and nearly $800 in his car during a March 11 traffic stop.

Michael J. Hazelwood, 18, of 439 Plain Meeting House Road, had just delivered two psychoactive vape cartridges to a 13-year-old when he was stopped, according to a release from Richmond Police Chief Elwood M. Johnson, Jr.

Following the 7:30 p.m. traffic stop, Hazelwood was booked at the police station and released on a summons to appear in the 4th District Court. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver a Schedule 1 drug and possession of marijuana.

THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive element found in cannabis.
