NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AMENDMENT to the CODE OF ORDINANCES

CHAPTER 3.06.040 BUILDING PERMIT FEES

PURSUANT TO EXECUTIVE ORDER 20-05, AS EXTENDED BY FURTHER

EXECUTIVE ORDERS, EXECUTED BY GOVERNOR DANIEL J. MCKEE.

Notice is hereby given that the Richmond Town Council will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING via the Zoom Application on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. on proposed amendments to Chapter 3.06.040 – Building Permit Fees of the Richmond Code of Ordinances.

The proposed amendment changes the construction cost estimates used to calculate building permit fees, but does not change the building permit fees themselves. Enactment of the updated ordinance will likely result in increased revenues to the Building, Planning and Zoning Department.

The proposed amendments may be examined at the Town Clerk’s Office, Richmond Town Hall, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Wyoming, R.I., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays. Copies are available for 15 cents per page. The proposed amendment may be changed during the public hearing, without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any such change will be presented for comment during the public hearing.
