The wordless, gesture-based production aims to engage hearing and non-hearing audiences while showcasing locally built puppets and original staging created entirely in Staunton.

Centennial celebration of President Wilson's Pierce-Arrow limousine (newsleader.com) — Staunton residents can attend City Council on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. as officials issue a proclamation marking 100 years since Woodrow Wilson’s Pierce-Arrow limousine arrived in town. The still-operational car, maintained by local volunteers, symbolizes Staunton’s deep connection to Wilson and anchors the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum on North Coalter Street.

Driver charged after stolen vehicle pursuit ends with 2 injured in Fishersville (whsv.com) — A Staunton resident was arrested after deputies say a stolen car pursuit in Fishersville ended in a rollover crash that injured both the driver and a passenger. Authorities report the man was treated at UVA Medical Center, then taken into custody and held without bond, with multiple agencies responding to the scene.
   

5. Report: Rising childcare costs, limited availability put strain on local families (augustafreepress.com) — Families in Staunton and the wider SAW region are facing steep childcare costs and long waitlists, with a new report finding annual expenses of up to $10,000 per child. Local groups like CAPSAW, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Staunton-Augusta YMCA are proposing a regional task force, better transportation, more nontraditional-hour care, and workforce investments to ease the strain.
