2018 Olympics: Mitchell Whitmore Speed Skating Schedule, Results

Waukesha's Mitch Whitmore is shooting for gold in the speed skating 500 and 1000 meter events in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha's Mitch Whitmore won the men's 500-meter race at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Long Track Speedskating, and is now shooting for gold in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. He is competing in the 500 meter and 1,000 meter events in the 2018 winter olympic games.

Gold medalist Dan Jansen has been working with Whitmore over the past three years to prepare the Waukesha native for one more shot at olympic glory, after competing in 2010 and 2014.
