In 1986, Anderson joined after Maddison called him when looking for a keyboardist. He described Anderson as his best friend in and outside of the music world. Maddison said Anderson was a very loyal and kind person.
"It's been a tough deal," Maddison said about his friend's death.
Anderson's family is putting on the fundraiser and asked Nostalgia to play to honor him.
Maddison said a few former members of the band will appear on Saturday in homage to their friend.
"We are just going to honor him," Maddison said.
He added they want to celebrate him and get up and keep playing music.
