5 Dogs Die In Waukesha House Fire
The Waukesha Fire Department was dispatched to the 1800 block of DeWitt Court on Friday night.
WAUKESHA, WI— Five dogs were killed and two people were injured in a house fire in Waueksha on Friday night, according to a news release from the fire department.
The Waukesha Fire Department was dispatched to the 1800 block of DeWitt Court and found an attached garage on fire which spread to the home. Two people evacuated the home and were treated for minor burns.
The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes. Five dogs that were found inside the home died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
"The Waukesha Fire Department would like to thank the Waukesha Police Department and H.A.W.S. for their assistance with this incident, as well as the concerned neighbors in the area for their cooperation during this fire," the department said in the release.
