After House Fire, 'Minnie' Has Been Found Safe And Sound
Minnie, a Waukesha family's beloved pet, is back home about 48 hours after a fire damaged their home.

WAUKESHA, WI — Minnie has been found, and the Jack Russell terrier that ran from the scene of a house fire this week is now safe and sound.
"We have her in my arms, safe and sound!" Waukesha resident Eileen Murphy wrote on her Facebook page Friday morning. According to previous posts on her timeline, Murphy said Minnie had been spotted between the time of the fire Wednesday and early Friday, but had been too scared to go back.
According to the Waukesha Fire Department, firefighters were sent to a home in the 1700 block of Blackhawk Trail just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday on a report of a house fire.

When they arrived, fire officials said there was a fire on the exterior and that one of her four dogs was still inside the house.
Fire officials say fire department personnel immediately began to extinguish the fire on the exterior of the house, while at the same time, fire crews went into the house to search for Minnie.

Officials said fire crews found Minnie and brought her outside. But once Minnie got outside, she ran away and went missing. As of Friday morning, Minnie was recovering in a new dog bed, safe and sound.
