Another Waukesha Bar Closes Due To Coronavirus Concerns

WAUKESHA, WI — A second Waukesha bar & grill announced it was temporarily closed due to coronavirus concerns.

Backstreet Pub & Grill, 711 Morgan Avenue, announced on Facebook the business was closing until further notice due to "potential covid-19 related issues." A sign is also posted outside the Mainstream Bar & Restaurant, 404 W. Main St., that says the closure is to "clean and take proper measures to protect our customers and employees."

Mainstream also took to Facebook to share the announcement adding,"Just to make sure everyone is aware we are doing this to take extra precautions. After we reopened the bar we have made sure that the employees were washing their hands, wiping down all tables and chairs after all customers, wiping down all menus. Door handles, bathrooms were being cleaned. We just want everyone to be safe."

It is not known if employees and customers were required to wear face masks inside either business. A message request for an interview was left for the business owners.
