Another Waukesha Business Has Missing Hours On Apple Maps
Golden Crystal Body Piercing discovered incorrect information.

WAUKESHA, WI — Another Waukesha business reported to Patch that Apple Maps displayed incorrect information about its hours of operation.
Alexandria Lipp, owner of Golden Crystal Body Piercing at 264 South St, said customers asked her why no one answered the phone and told her Apple Maps listed her business hours incorrectly.
She believes Apple Maps pulls from the information from review sites.

“I’ve tried a few times to submit a change in hours,” Lipp said.

Lipp recruited friends with Yelp accounts to flag the misinformation, but the hours remained unchanged on Apple Maps. The hours were correct in 2018 when her business first opened.
“Google and Facebook have been really good about updating things,” she said. She added that she believed Apple Maps pulled the incorrect information from Yelp.

Lipp added that, since her business is new, it is not appearing correctly on Google Maps.
“It is showing our business in the entry to the Prairieville Apartments. We are the retail space at the bottom of those apartments,” she said.
The incorrect hours listing leads her clients to show up to pick up their jewelry orders thinking they are open when they are closed.
Because of the pandemic, Lipp doesn’t take walk-ins and has clients make appointments. She said updated hours and appointment information is listed on her business’ website.
Paul Roberts, owner of Roberts' Specialty Meats, earlier posted on social media about the same issue. A few days later, his business hours were corrected on Apple Maps.
"Oh, I'm here for it," Lipp said in response to Roberts' post.
Lipp encouraged other businesses to talk to their clients about listing errors and recommended where they can find the most accurate information.
Patch reached out to Apple Maps and Google Maps for comment.
