Blizzard Brawl "Challenge of the SuperFriends" Is Coming!

Great Lakes Championship Wrestling is holding Blizzard Brawl Challenge of the SuperFriends on Sat., 12/7 at the Waukesha County Expo Center

Great Lakes Championship Wrestling is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Blizzard Brawl with “Challenge of the SuperFriends” on Saturday, December 7 at the Waukesha County Expo Center. A stacked card of wrestling action, many wrestling legends and a venue full of SuperFriends will combine t make this a blast.

As fans of GLCW know, “SuperFriends” is often used by David Herro when talking about wrestlers and fans. It's a term of endearment which creates a family feeling among all. As warm and fuzzy as “SuperFriends” is, the in ring action will be quite different.

The Main Event pits All Elite Wrestling's Shawn Spears and a TBA wrestler facing Sefa Fatu and Jacob Fatu, with his father WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. Will there be a stinkface? Will there be dancing?

Another big match is for the GLCW Ladies title. GLCW Ladies champ ODB defends her title against former WWE Diva champ Melina Perez. When she isn't in the ring, I hope ODB will be selling her famous hot sauces.

In another highly anticipated match, two wrestling legends collide when Al Snow takes on Tommy Dreamer. For some reason, I think this will be a slobberknocker!

Other exciting matches include a Six Man tag match. Ring of Honor's Beer City Bruiser, former National Wrestling Alliance World Champion Jax Dane and Arik Cannon face the team of former Total Nonstop Action star Jay Bradley and the GLCW tag team champs Ryan Kross & Jeff Luxon. The potential combinations in this match are incredible. I like all of these men, but I have to say I really want to see “the Boomstick” delivered to someone by Jay!

Two more matches have been announced. AEW 's Luchasaurus battles Major League Wrestling's Davey Boy Smith Jr. There's also a three-way dance between Adam Grace, Joey Avalon and Backwoods Brown.

One more match I am very excited to see is AEW's Marko Stunt and Kal Herro against former WWE star Hornswoggle and Nick Colucci. All are great competitors, but this will be my first time seeing Kal wrestle.

I have seen Kal grow from a youngster soaking in the wrestling business to an up-and-coming in-ring performer. Out of the ring, Kal is a respectful, young man who is adored by all who know him. Inside the ring, he is skilled beyond his years.

Adding to the fun, Dameon Nelson has been named the GM for Blizzard Brawl and he has named the lovely Linda Kay as the ring announcer. Of course, the main #SuperFriend David Herro will also be there. “Additional shenanigans” have also been promised and judging from past events that's a virtual guarantee.

Like all GLCW events, there will certainly be a large amount of other wrestlers in the crowd. I have seen many of my favorites there over the years and this Blizzard Brawl should be no different.

Two special guests await “Meet-and-Greet” ticketholders. WWE Hall of Famers Rikishi and The Godfather will be be available only to those who were smart enough to get the “Meet-and-Greet” tickets. These two legends alone would be worth it!

Blizzard Brawl will provide a wide range of entertainment from beginning to end. Although all the talent is very accommodating, I plan on arriving early because I want to soak in every minute.

I'll be covering the event and reporting right back here and on my site. I'm not part of the show, but if you see me there, stop and give me a shout. I'm hoping to see many of my SuperFriends there!
