Cardiologist Ali Shafiq, MD sees patients in Oconomowoc, Waukesha

Ali Shafiq, MD, has joined the team of providers at the UW Health Heart & Vascular Center at ProHealth Care.

Dr. Shafiq is a specialist in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Cardiologists treat and manage heart, artery and vein conditions. Interventional cardiologists perform catheter-based treatments for heart disease and structural heart defects.

"I believe in a personalized approach to medicine,” Dr. Shafiq said. “I intend to provide the most advanced cardiovascular care while tailoring medical treatment to each individual. My goal is to build strong and trusting relationships with my patients and their families."

The team at the heart and vascular center diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions including arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, chest pain (angina), heart attack, heart disease, heart failure and heart valve and vein disease. The team at the center also is engaged in clinical research.
