Fire Safety Tips For Memorial Day In Waukesha
The Waukesha Fire Department wants residents to be safe over the holiday weekend.
WAUKESHA, WI—The holiday weekend may involve grilling out and other fun activities. The Waukesha Fire Department hopes everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend. The following are safety tips and reminders:
Open fires are permitted between the hours of 3 p.m.-12 a.m. Rules include the following - the fire is at least 25 feet from any structure, in a below-ground fire pit or outdoor fireplace and wind speeds are not over 10 miles per hour.
Keep your grill away from any siding, deck rails and eaves; clean your grill after each use; open your gas grill before lighting; never use a gas-fired grill inside any structure (even your garage).

Fireworks are not allowed. No person shall sell, expose, offer for sale, use, keep discharge or explode any fireworks in the City.
