Free Meals For Children In Waukesha: Where To Pick Up

The program will run through August 31.

WAUKESHA, WI—The School District of Waukesha is offering free breakfast and lunch this summer for all children under 18 in the Waukesha community.

The meals are available at four locations:

  • Hadfield Elementary School from noon to 1 p.m., Oakland Street, Door #3
  • Horning Middle School from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wolf Road, Door #8
  • North High School from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Michigan Avenue, Main Entrance
  • South High School from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tenny Avenue, Door #12

Meals are available for pickup on Thursday of each week and adults may pick them up on behalf of their children. The district encourages those taking part in the program to bring along a large bag as each child receives seven breakfast and seven lunch bags.

Patch has partnered with Feeding America to help raise awareness on behalf of the millions of Americans facing hunger. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that in 2021, about 42 million Americans may not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
