WAUKESHA, WI — Resident Kashyap Malkan, the National Cricket League and other community residents are working with the City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department to bring the game of cricket to Waukesha.

The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will offer cricket lesson and
cricket boot camp to those 8-17 years of age beginning in June.

City officials say the goal is to gain exposure to batting, bowling and fielding through fun drills and games. The cricket experience will also teach humility, confidence, perseverance and provide international sport exposure. Many international parents grew up playing cricket as children and want to see their children enjoy the sport.
