Garbage Pickup In Waukesha On Normal Schedule
No change in pickup despite the holiday.

WAUKESHA, WI— There will be no change in trash and recycling pickups because of the 4th of July holiday in Waukesha this week. Pickups will take place on their usual day.
Concerns with garbage and recycling collection by city contractor Waste Management continued in Waukesha. The city hired a third-party company to help with bulky items, according to a news alert.
For the past few months, residents have complained about missed or delayed pickups, long wait times when trying to reach Waste Management customer service, and other related issues.
The city is actively working with Waste Management to address these issues, it said.

Some Waukesha residents expressed frustration on the city’s Facebook page that they weren’t told about the normal schedule.
“This should have been posted last week! We completely missed our garbage pick up yesterday considering everyone was off of work and we assumed garbage would have been pushed back a day with the holiday weekend. And it looks like 90% of our neighborhood missed their garbage pick up as well. This is ridiculous!”

“Missed garbage and recycling yesterday because, like most people, we were traveling and expected a delayed pickup this week. Maybe tell people the week before!”
"Too late! This should have been posted earlier! Missed me for garbage, but got my recycling out yesterday at 5:30 ,only cause neighbors saw them coming! Stupid schedule..BAD PLANNING."
“Thanks for telling us on the scheduled day of pick up when it’s now too late to put the cans out.”
“This info should have been posted last week. Another garbage pick up failure. Thanks a lot”
“Bad planning on city. Specially first of month with big pick. A Lot of big items sitting curbside for month. Thanks a lot!!”
“This should have been posted last week. Disappointed that pick up happened on a holiday Monday”
Other residents felt people should know how the schedule works when a holiday falls on a Sunday.
“I saw garbage getting picked yesterday so I let our neighbor's know ours got picked up today.”
“Laughing at everyone who just didn't put their garbage cans out because they need to rely on the City to tell em what to do!!”
“Wow. So NOBODY wants to take responsibility for not knowing how garbage collection works? It's always been this way. Sat and Sun holidays don't change the schedule. If you assumed otherwise and didn't actually look it up... well... that is on you”
