Waukesha native and nonprofit founder Kelly Johnson, really enjoys making a difference in the community -- as she started her own nonprofit, the Kelly Johnson Foundation in 2014. With her background in coaching college tennis and competing, she recently got involved with the sport of Pickleball in Chicago where she currently resides! After working at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida in May, she was motivated to bring this hot new sport to back to her hometown and is hosting the Wisconsin Pickleball Open in Waukesha on Sunday, August 4th.

"I am excited to host our Pickleball tournament for a second year in WI and promote awareness of the sport and my nonprofit! The Wisconsin Pickleball Open gives the opportunity for Waukesha to participate in socially competitive tournament play, have fun, and overall play for a great cause supporting higher education!" said Kelly Johnson, director of the Wisconsin Pickleball Open.
