Hartland Moving Ahead With Fourth Of July Festivities Friday

The Village of Hartland in Waukesha County is hosting their Hometown Celebration starting Friday night and extending into Sunday.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — While many cities across Wisconsin have canceled their Fourth of July festivities, at least one Waukesha-area community is moving ahead with their fireworks and parade in full amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Village of Hartland is hosting their Hometown Celebration starting Friday night and extending into Sunday.

Hartland's fireworks display is expected to happen Friday at 9:30 p.m. at Nixon Park. If it rains, they'll be held the same time on Saturday, according to the Hartland Recreation Department.

The festivities continue Sunday for the Hometown Celebration Parade, which is scheduled to step off at 1:30 p.m. from the corner of Hartbrook Drive and Merton Ave. The parade heads south on Merton Ave., then west on E. Capitol Drive. The parade then heads south on North Ave., east on E. Park Ave. and filters into Nixon Park.
