High Winds Left Thousands Without Power, Crews Working
Stormy conditions and gusts up to 60 miles per hour left 20,000 or more without power.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI -- Crews are working today to restore power to thousands of southeast Wisconsin residents' homes. Last night, a powerful storm with wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour knocked down 16 electric poles on Highway 45, according to We Energies.
The utility work is expected to take most of the day, according to We Energies. Approximately 20,000 of We Energies customers were left without power, and as of 9 a.m. Thursday morning, 6,000 were still without power, according to CBS58.
