K9 Justice Back To Work After I-94 Stabbing
Justice received treatment and has been the subject of hundreds of letters, texts, and emails asking about his condition.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Justice, the Waukesha County Sheriff's longtime K9 officer is officially back to work after sustaining stab wounds during a June 4 incident on I-94 and Highway 67.
During a press conference held after the incident, Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson said a woman later identified as Kalin Sunde fled police, ignoring deputies' commands to stop. Severson said Sunde struggled with officers, and managed to stab sheriff's K9 officer Justice, causing significant injuries to the dog.
Severson said Justice was transported to an emergency vet for treatment, and was in recovery.

On Friday, June 14, Sheriff's officials said Justice is now back to work and is doing much better. Justice received treatment, and has been the subject of hundreds of letters, texts and emails asking about his condition.
Waukesha County Sheriff's Deputy Mathrew Thompson, who is Justice's partner, said Justice has been outfitted with a new ballistic vest that was donated to the department by national nonprofit Vest-A-Dog. The vest, Thompson said, offers the same level of protection as vests worn by two-legged officers.
