The Waukesha Police released this statement:

"We are not identifying this as a shooting as we can only confirm that a male presented with an injury consistent with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. About two weeks ago a story was run with inconsistent information by a media outlet. Please be mindful that we will release accurate, vetted and verifying information in a timely manner. Jumping to a conclusion is like calling fire in a movie theater. We will inform the public when we have correct information. No further information will be released at this time."
