New Frame Park Playground Sets Grand Opening Date
The new playground will incorporate many exciting new features and will be recognized as a National Demonstration Site.
WAUKESHA, WI — Volunteers have been busily transforming the Frame Park playground into a modern, top-of-the line space for children and families.
A Grand Opening Presentation with ribbon cutting and tree planting is being planned for Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the playground site, 701 E. MorelandBlvd.
The new playground will incorporate many exciting new features and will be recognized as a National Demonstration Site that verifies an outdoor play environment that addresses inclusion, incorporates nature and promotes outdoor fitness and physical activity.

Many fun activities and a light picnic dinner are planned. There will be a DJ and inclusive playground games and activities for the whole family.
The playground is not just for children, as there is an adult fitness portion to the playground called “Thrive.” Personal trainers will be on hand to introduce adults to the equipment in this outdoor setting.

“We are so excited to be part of this," stated Mark Thompson, Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department’s Recreation Supervisor. “This equipment allows for parents to get in a workout while their kids play. What could be better than that?” he said.
