New Tenant Signs Lease For Former Waukesha Family Video

WAUKESHA, WI—Family Video closed all of its 250 stores including 23 locations in Wisconsin earlier this year.

A new tenant has signed a lease for the former video store at 139 E Broadway, according to Michael Kohne, regional director leasing and property management at Legacy Commercial Property.

"We currently have a tenant signed and they are within their contingency period. Until they waive contingency, I will not divulge who it is," Kohne told Patch.

Even with a new tenant there is 11,000 sq feet available in the building for warehouse space.

Family Video closed due to the impact of COVID-19 and the lack of movie releases.

The video stores were located in the following cities: Appleton, Ashland, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Howard, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Menasha, Onalaska, Oshkosh, Racine, Rhinelander, Shawano, Sheboygan, Stevens Point, Sun Prairie, Waukesha, Waupaca, Wausau, West Allis, West Bend & Weston, the release said.
