Obituary: Ursula B. Schiller, 100

She drove until she was 98 and lived a full century before passing away Saturday.

Ursula B. Schiller, long time resident of Pewaukee, died on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Seasons Hospice at the age of 100 years. She was born on May 27, 1913 daughter of Anton and Gertrude (nee Hurtgen) Eckstein. Ursula married Victor Schiller on May 6, 1938. She proudly worked in her home as a homemaker for many years and later went on to work for Schultz Brothers in Waukesha and as a dietary aide for Northview Nursing Home. Ursula enjoyed gardening and fishing. She also enjoyed baking, and making homemade soups which she willingly shared with others. Ursula loved her house on the lake, where she took pleasure in sitting on the shore watching all the lake activity. She will always be remembered for being an active independent woman who drove until she was 98. She loved going to lunch and spending time with her family at gatherings.

Ursula will be dearly missed by her niece, Irene (Tyler) Sorensen; nephew, John Roberts; sister-in-laws, Judy Eckstein and Grace Eckstein. Ursula is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Schiller; parents Anton and Gertrude Eckstein; sister, Vivian Roberts; brothers, Eugene (Mildred), Victor (Lillian), Paul (Loraine), Leo, and Edward Eckstein; brother-in-laws, LeRoy( Irma) Schiller, Rudy (Marion) Schiller; sister-in-laws Mabel (John) Halama, Esther (Jim) Eastman and Ruth (Joe) Congemi.

The visitation for Ursula will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Private burial will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
