Overeaters Anonymous Invites New Members to Virtual Workshop
Local Overeaters Anonymous group to hold virtual workshop on compulsive overeating, invites new and prospective members to attend
The local Overeaters Anonymous intergroup will hold a Newcomer Virtual Workshop for new and prospective members on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. The web- and phone-based workshop is open to new and prospective members. There are no fees to attend, and participant anonymity is assured.
The workshop will introduce attendees to the OA program of recovery from compulsive eating and/or compulsive food behaviors. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions, engage in conversation with current and prospective members, and identify local small group support meetings.

Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. OA welcomes everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine. The primary purpose of OA is to help members abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

The Milwaukee Area Intergroup of Overeaters Anonymous (OA-MAI) is the local affiliation of the international organization. It serves members who reside in the eastern half of Wisconsin including the Milwaukee Metropolitan Area, areas south to the state border and areas north to Green Bay and beyond. OA-MAI holds business meetings on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome to attend any of the local support groups.
