Scorching Weekend To Bring 105-Degree Heat Index Temps

Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha and Janesville are expected to reach 103, and Waukesha is forecast to reach 101.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Daytime temperatures are expected to soar over the weekend, with the hottest temperatures coming Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS has issued a Heat Advisory for Saturday as heat index temperatures are expected to reach greater than 100 degrees. Wisconsin's hot spot on Saturday will be Fond du Lac, which is expected to reach a heat index of 105 degrees. Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha and Janesville are expected to reach 103, and Waukesha is forecast to reach 101.

"Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors," the NWS said in a statement Friday. "Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances."
