Teen Convicted In Slenderman Stabbing Granted Conditional Release
A Waukesha judge said the teen can continue treatment as an outpatient.
WAUKESHA, WI— A Waukesha County Judge ruled in favor of a conditional release for one of the teens convicted of stabbing a classmate to please the fictional internet horror character "Slenderman."
The teen appeared in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Thursday.
Anissa Weier, 19, was sentenced her to 25 years in a mental health institution. Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren approved her conditional release from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Oshkosh.

Weier's release isn't immediate. A release plan will be developed with a hearing set in September.
