Traveling Sprecher Beer Garden Kicks Off Tour Wednesday

Summer is upon us, so let the beer and other alcoholic goods come to you as you enjoy the outdoor weather.

Some follow their favorite bands on tour, but Milwaukeeans prefer to follow their favorite beer.

The Traveling Beer Garden will begin touring across Milwaukee County Parks on Wednesday, offering a chance to share a brew or two with friends, family or even strangers during a day at the park.

The ongoing event features two simultaneous tours, aptly named the Roll Out the Barrell Tour and the Pass Me a Pint Tour, each featuring unique locations. Both tours are made possible through a partnership with Sprecher Brewing Co. and will feature craft beers, gourmet sodas, hard root beer and other Sprecher refreshments.

If this was not already cause for celebration, the opening of each stop features an opening day ceremonial keg-tapping with live music and free beer (while it lasts). The tours kick off at Root River Pkwy near Whitnall Park and Juneau Park.
