Wanted Felon Taken Into Custody After Standoff: Waukesha Police
An officer recognized a felon who was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections in Waukesha.
WAUKESHA, WI—A person wanted by police was taken into custody in Waukesha on Wednesday afternoon.
A police officer was driving by a home in the 600 block of Delafield Street and recognized a felon who was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, according to Waukesha Police.
Police believed the person was in possession of a firearm earlier in the day, police said.

Waukesha County K-9 responded and the residence was surrounded. Police made several attempts to talk with the person as neighbors were evacuated from the area, police said.
The Waukesha Deployable Technologies Unit used a robot to clear the apartment and the person was located and taken into custody later in the evening, police said.
