A major winter storm is moving into the Waukesha area Sunday into Monday, affecting local schools and city functions.

WAUKESHA, WI -- A major winter storm is moving into the Waukesha area Sunday into Monday, affecting local schools and city functions.
The City of Waukesha and Waukesha County have declared a Winter Weather Emergency until 6 p.m. Monday, January 28 due to anticipated heavy snow and hazardous road conditions.
All non-essential Waukesha City and also County offices will be closed all day Monday, Jan. 28.

- Liberty Dance Center Waukesha
- Goodwill Waukesha Day Services
- St. William Catholic Church Waukesha
- St. Mary Catholic Church Waukesha
- St. John Neumann Parish Waukesha
- Montessori School of Waukesha
- Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic
As part of this closure, the Waukesha County Courthouse will be closed and all court matters will be rescheduled. County offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 8 a.m. During the snow emergency, the City is forbidding anyone from parking any vehicle on a street or alley during the snow emergency until the street or alley has been cleared of snow.

All 24-hour operations such as the Communication Center, Jail, Mental Health Center and Sheriff’s Department are not affected by the closure and will maintain their regular schedule.
