Waukesha Fish Fry Fundraiser To Support 'The Moving Wall'

WAUKESHA, WI—A fish fry has been organized to help support a traveling half-sized replica of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Waukesha.

The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department is partnering with Saz’s Catering Lake Country to offer a fish fry from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at Western Lakes Golf Club, W287 N1963 Oakton Rd., Pewaukee.

Saz’s will donate 10 percent of all sales both inside the restaurant and from carry-out orders to support the visit of “The Moving Wall” to Waukesha.

“We are so appreciative of Saz’s commitment to our community and their support of our efforts to bring ‘The Moving Wall’ to Waukesha,” said special events coordinator, Joanna Adamicki. “Who doesn’t love a Wisconsin Fish Fry and Saz’s signature offerings like Beer Battered Cheese Curds. Couple the curds with donating a portion of proceeds to a good cause and I think it’s something we can all get behind.”

Saz’s menu will include signature items such as mozzarella marinara, clam chowder, battered or baked cod as well as shrimp, and of course, ribs.

A portion of proceeds will benefit the visit of “The Moving Wall” to Waukesha, the nationally traveling half-sized replica of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. The visit will take place Noon on May 27 through 6 a.m. June 1 in Frame Park, 1150 Frame Park Dr.

In addition to “The Moving Wall,” “The Field of Honor” will also be presented.
