Waukesha Police Department Beats Waukesha Fire Department In Annual Charity Basketball Game
The game drew a record-breaking amount of donations for the winners' charity.
WAUKESHA - The Waukesha Police Department ousted the Waukesha Fire Department 74-60 in a friendly annual game of basketball Friday for charity.
The police department played for the Special Olympics, the world's largest sports organization for those with intellectual disabilities, and the fire department played for Operation Warm, which provides coats for children in need.
According to a statement from the Waukesha Police Department, this year's game raised more than previous years, thanks to attendees, sponsors, raffle prize donors, and volunteers.

Attendees enjoyed halftime entertainment from the Liberty Dance Center and Sparky and McGruff the Crime Dog. Brook Behl sung the national anthem in front of a mixed police and fire honor guard.
