West Waukesha Bypass Detours Continue With Another Road Closing
Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials offered a construction update this week. Here's what you need to know.

WAUKESHA, WI — When it's done, the $50 million West Waukesha bypass project will offer motorists a new four-lane roadway that connects I-94 with Highway 59 on the western edge of the city.
Until then, it will continue to present residents with ongoing detours and traffic slowdowns. The project, in fact, was named in the Journal Sentinel's 2019 list of road projects that will present summertime headaches.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials offered a construction update this week, saying on July 3 that a new phase of construction will begin.

On July 9, workers closed a quarter-mile stretch of Saylesville Road from Highway 59 south in order to realign the roadway.
