Grogan Projected Winner In WI Court Of Appeals District 2 Race

Voters went to the polls Tuesday in Wisconsin's spring election and Patch has the results.

WAUKESHA, WI—Judge Shelley Grogan has been projected to defeat incumbent Jeffrey Davis in the race of Court of Appeals Judge for District 2, according to an Associated Press projection.

"Thank you to the voters for putting your trust in me," Grogan said in a short statement posted to Twitter. "I will stand by my pledge to uphold the rule of law and defend your constitutional freedoms. This is a win for the grassroots, the Constitution, and the rule of law."

The Court of Appeals is the state's intermediate appellate court. The court is composed of 16 judges from four districts headquartered in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Wausau, and Madison.

District 2 includes the counties of Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha and Winnebago.

Jeffrey Davis

Judge Jeffrey Davis has been on the Court of Appeals since October, 2019. He was a previous Village Trustee, Village of Fox Point; Board of Zoning Appeals, Village of Fox Point.

He told Patch he is running:

"To serve the public good in a position that makes the best use of my deep knowledge of the law and the 32 years of real world experience representing clients in the trial and appellate courts of this State and beyond."

Shelley Grogan

Judge Shelley Grogan occupation is City of Muskego Judge, Judicial Assistant to Justice Rebecca Bradley, Adjunct Professor Marquette University Law School.

Grogan told Patch:

" I'm running because the people deserve a judge who will always stand up for the rule of law and protect our Constitutional freedoms. The Constitution is the law and I will not set it aside or legislate from the bench. I am a constitutional conservative who will act independently and impartially in every case."
