71-Year-Old Dead After Bicycle-Car Accident In Cleveland Heights
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office said the 71-year-old was hit by a car on Lee Road.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A 71-year-old Cleveland Heights resident has died after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office, the 71-year-old was hit by a car while cycling on Lee Road, between E. Scarborough and Ormond roads, on Dec. 28.
Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg told Patch the 71-year-old was wobbling on his bicycle before he swerved into traffic. When his bicycle hit the car, he fell onto the road. He was not wearing a helmet, Mecklenburg said.

He was rushed to University Hospitals in Cleveland.
After three days in the hospital, the 71-year-old died from his injuries on Dec. 31, 2020, the medical examiner said.

Police told News 5 that the accident was not a hit-and-run.
