All-Pro Heights Alum Playing Sunday In AFC Championship

Travis Kelce will take the field for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday when his team plays the New England Patriots.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — During the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shouted out his hometown, saying he was from Cleveland Heights. Kelce will again find himself in the national spotlight on Sunday when his team plays for the AFC Championship.

Once the quarterback for the Heights Tigers football team, Kelce switched positions in college and has become one of the best position players in the entire NFL. He was named All-Pro this season by several news outlets, including the Associated Press. His Chiefs are 12-4 and getting ready to play perennial contenders the New England Patriots for a spot in the Super Bowl.

The AFC Championship game will be played Sunday, in Kansas City, at 6:40 p.m. The game will be broadcast on CBS. It'll be fun to see if Kelce again shouts out his hometown during player introductions.
