AOL to Purchase The Huffington Post

AOL, Patch's parent company, announced early this morning that it will acquire the popular online news site The Huffington Post, and Arianna Huffington will be named president and editor-in-chief of the new Huffington Post Media Group. 

The group will combine The Huffington Post and AOL media content, including the about 800 Patch sites nationwide. 

It is unlikely that this move will affect individual sites like Cleveland Heights Patch and how we deliver local news, but to be honest, we aren't sure yet.
