Basketball Is Back In Cleveland Heights As City Reinstalls Hoops

New backboards and rims are being erected at three parks in Cleveland Heights.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Basketball is back in Cleveland Heights.

The city has installed new backboards and hoops at the outdoor courts at Cain, Cumberland and Denison parks. COVID-19 precautions should still be followed at each park.

While waiting for games, players should practice social distancing, avoid large crowds and sanitize their hands and equipment frequently, the city advised.

As the COVID-19 vaccination process continues statewide, Cleveland Heights is also reopening Cumberland Pool. Advance registration is required for all sessions, the city said on social media.

To reserve a time at the pool, residents can call the Cleveland Heights Community Center at 216-691-7373 or Cumberland Pool at 216-691-7347. Online registration is also available for residents.
