Bialy's Bagels Named One Of U.S.'s Best Bagel Shops

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH — Bialy's Bagels has again been rated as one of the best bagel shops in the U.S.

Food & Wine rated the best bagel joints in the U.S. this month. The publication placed three Ohio stores on the list: Cleveland Bagel Co., The Lox Bagel Shop (in Columbus), and Bialy's.

"We are incredibly humbled to be included on Food & Wine’s list of best bagel shops in the US, and thankful to all of our customers who made it possible!" the Bialy's team told Patch in an email.

Bialy's was praised for making the best New York bagels west of the Allegheny, a feat traced back to Bialy's founding by a Brooklyn-based baker.

"The everything (here, known as a Mish Mosh) and sesame especially aren't just dead ringers for the original article—they're often better," Food & Wine said.

In January 2020, Patch readers ranked Bialy's Bagels as the best bagel shop in town. We asked Bialy's workers what sets them apart from other bagel companies.

"We'd say our fresh dough made in house daily is what sets us apart! We think the customers like our "no frills" and that we focus on best we do best....bagels!" a Bialy's representative told Patch in an email.
