Cedar Hill Down To 1 Lane In Each Direction For Emergency Repairs

Emergency repairs on a water main line have shut down lanes on Cedar Hill, Cleveland Heights' police chief announced.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Only one lane is open, in either direction, on Cedar Hill on Monday afternoon. Cleveland Water is making emergency repairs to one of the water main lines in the area, causing the lane closures.

It is not yet known how long the lane closures will remain in effect, Cleveland Heights Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg said. Drivers should avoid the area, if possible. If motorists can't detour around Cedar Hill, they should expect delays, Mecklenburg said.

The emergency repairs couldn't be needed at a worse time, with rush hour just beginning in earnest.
