Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

Studio 7 opened in October of 2007 and we have been a thriving small business in our community for 13 years. We service a lot of our surrounding neighbors and they enjoy coming to our establishment because it reminds them of family. They tell us all of the time that the atmosphere is very warm and inviting, aside from the obvious fact that we offer quality services.

We are a full-service salon, so we offer hair, nails and feet, lash extensions, waxing, as well as makeup services. We offer packaged deals for weddings, proms, etc. I chose the name Studio 7 13 years ago because the number seven represents the number of completion, and I guarantee that your service will be complete when you are done.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

The impact of the coronavirus hit my business hard. We were told they were going to force us to close one day and ordered to close the next day. Because we are independent contractors, we our responsible for our own insurance, products, rent etc. This means when we are closed there is no revenue coming in at all and no means to support ourselves.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

Local customers can support us by continuing to reach out with one another and once the economy opens back up just keep remaining supportive.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

Stay prayerful and safe and just follow the rules of social distancing so they can get control of the situation and hopefully we can slowly get back to work.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?

Sure, any type of catering businesses and small mom-and-pop restaurants.
