Cleveland Heights Financial Reporting Wins Award
The city's annual financial report was praised by an association of government finance officers.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — On Friday, the city of Cleveland Heights was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
The certificate was given by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The award praises the city's comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year that ended Dec. 31, 2019.
"The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report," the association said.

To receive the award, the Cleveland Heights financial report had to meet all of the association's criteria, according to an evaluation by an independent analyst.
