CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Crews working for the city started a $74,000 sewer project this week. The work will close Janette Avenue to through traffic during the day, though emergency vehicles will continue to have 24-hour access.
Construction will take place on Janette between Blanche and Harvey Road. The street will be closed to through traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Police, fire and EMS will have all-day access to the street, in the event of the emergency.
"The city is replacing around 115 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer and 18-inch storm sewer on Janette Avenue between Harvey Road and Blanche Avenue that was found to be collapsed during our SSES CCTV investigation," a city official told Patch.
