Create A Comic Book Event For Kids Comes To Cleveland Heights

The sixth annual Kids' Comic Con will pair aspiring comic book creators with experienced writers and illustrators.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The city of Cleveland Heights has a rich and special connection to comic books and graphic novels. The city was home to Harvey Pekar, the writer of American Splendor, and panels from his series still adorn the walls and pillars of the Lee Road Heights Library. On March 17, the next generation of Cleveland-area comic book writers and illustrators can get a jump start on their career.

The sixth annual Kids' Comic Con will come to the city on March 17, thanks to Lake Erie Ink. The event will let kids, ages 8 to 18, meet with local comic creators. The artists will help provide guidance and inspiration to the attendees.

The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $10 per person, but financial aid is available. Last year, there were more than 150 attendees from across Northeast Ohio.
