Anthony Hopkins, of Cleveland Heights, Killed in Cedar Road Car Crash

The driver of a car that veered across all lanes of eastbound Cedar Road at Overlook Road overnight is dead, our partners at WEWS News Channel 5 reports.

The driver has been identified as Anthony Hopkins, 26, of Cleveland Heights, WEWS reports. WKYC reports that he was thrown from the vehicle when it hit a utility pole on the westbound side of Cedar Road.

The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. and closed all lanes of traffic for a period of time. The road is open as of 9:30 a.m., the station adds.
