EAST CLEVELAND, OH — The Ohio Department of Health is hosting free COVID-19 testing in East Cleveland and Warrensville Heights this weekend.

Testing is available to anyone, regardless of symptoms. No appointment is needed, though pre-registration is encouraged.

The Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center, 13944 Euclid Ave. will host COVID-19 testing on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pre-registration for that event is open through Friday at 4 p.m.

On Sunday, there will be free COVID-19 testing at the Word Church, 18909 S. Miles Rd., in Warrensville Heights. Testing will be conducted between noon and 4 p.m. Pre-registration for that event is also encouraged.

Residents can now look up exactly how full their local hospital is. Based on research and data compiled by the University of Minnesota, National Public Radio created a "look-up" tool.Users can also lookup county and statewide hospitalization rates, in addition to info on their local hospital:

  • In Cuyahoga County, hospitals are 66 percent full
  • In Lorain County, hospitals are 76 percent full
  • In Summit County, hospitals are 73 percent full
