The city released its official trick-or-treat celebration time and a series of safety tips.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The spookiest day of the year is less than a week away. The class Halloween tradition of trick-or-treating will be held Tuesday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the city announced on its website.

The city also released a series of tips to keep families safe during the holiday. First and foremost, the city recommends that children trick-or-treating should be accompanied by a parent or guardian of some kind.

Those guardians should also make sure they're carrying a flashlight, to both illuminate pathways and help identify them to drivers.
