Halloween 2018: Trick-or-Treat, Candy Crawls In Cleveland Heights
There are two major Halloween events in the city before October 31. Make sure you check them both out!

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — As always, citywide trick-or-treating will be held October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Before Halloween arrives though, there are a few local events that families will want to check out.
On Friday, the Cedar Lee district's annual Candy Crawl will take over the neighborhood. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., local businesses will hand out candy to children 12 and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult, the district said.
Participating Candy Crawl stores will have signage displayed during the event. District leaders said they're again "looking forward to seeing those wacky, zany, spooky, or imaginative costumes."

Current forecasts show a 50 percent chance of rain on Friday night. Hopefully the precipitation won't start until after the Candy Crawl. Temperatures will likely be in the mid- to low-50s.
Then, next week, on October 24, the Cedar Fairmount district will host its Halloween Fall Festival. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., families can decorate pumpkins, check out Whipples the Balloon Clown, enjoy kids games, chat with the community police bicycle unit, decorate cupcakes, and trick-or-treat.

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult during the event. Participating merchants will have a pumpkin in their window. Some restaurants in the district will be offering specials for guests that evening.
On Halloween, parents should take extra caution with their kids who go out trick-or-treating. Drivers should also go a little slower, and a little more carefully through neighborhoods. Cleveland Heights Police said officers would be on patrol throughout the evening, and then shared safety tips from the county.
